Eco-friendly and mobile with SWK

The people of Kaiserslautern are pioneers in natural gas mobility. According to the Federal Motor Vehicle Office, Kaiserslautern has the highest density in natural gas vehicles, not counting cities with public subsidies. In addition to many private users, different Kaiserslautern organizations are also using natural gas vehicles. Currently, approx. 650 natural gas vehicles are registered in Kaiserslautern. We are proud to contribute to this pleasant development by having established two natural gas filling stations for price and environmentally conscious drivers.

Here you can "refuel" around the clock:

Natural gas filling station on the company's premises,
Brandenburger Straße 2, 67663 Kaiserslautern

Natural gas filling station at the Total Gas Station,
Mainzer Straße 140, 67657 Kaiserslautern

In the surrounding areas of Kaiserslautern, you can also refuel with natural gas in Landstuhl, Homburg, Kusel, Kirchheimbolanden, Frankenthal, and at the Autobahn service station Wattenheim. The natural gas filling station network is also continuously growing throughout Germany. You’ll find natural gas filling stations under

Those who drive with natural gas protect the environment

The emission of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and nitric oxide is up to 80 percent lower compared to gasoline driven vehicles. In addition, natural gas vehicles have a lower ozone and smog potential, emit less soot particles and sulfur, and are characterized by low volume engine noise and odorless exhaust fumes.

Natural gas as inexpensive fuel

Natural gas as fuel is not only environmentally friendly but also unbeatably inexpensive. It is cheaper than diesel, regular gasoline or super. Thanks to the first stage of the ecological tax reform, natural gas drivers can now rely on the price advantage of natural gas: the reduction of mineral oil tax on natural gas as fuel is locked in until the end of 2018. Thanks to the low operating costs, the purchase costs are amortized within a short period of time.

Refuel for half the cost

Currently, the price for natural gas as fuel is 110.9 cents per kilogram at natural gas filling stations in Kaiserslautern. That corresponds to a gasoline price of almost 77 cents per liter.
