Environmentally friendly and inexpensively
mobile with natural gas
Kaiserslautern is a pioneer in terms of natural gas mobility. According to the Kraftfahrtbundesamt [Federal Motor Vehicle Office], Kaiserslautern has the highest concentration of natural gas vehicles, except for cities with public funding. In addition to many private users, various regional institutions are also using natural gas vehicles. For cost-conscious and environmentally minded drivers in Kaiserslautern we have established two natural gas filling stations.
Here you can "fill up" natural gas around the clock:
Natural gas filling station on the company premises,
Brandenburger Straße 2, 67663 Kaiserslautern (Google Maps)
Natural gas filling station at the “Total” Gas-Station,
Mainzer Straße 140, 67657 Kaiserslautern (Google Maps)
Current price natural gas (effective January 2016): 1,109 €/kg
You will find additional natural gas filling stations under www.erdgas-mobil.de.
Environmentally friendly mobile
Those who drive with natural gas protect the environment. The emissions of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitric oxides are up to 80 percent less than with gasoline vehicles. In addition, natural gas vehicles have lower ozone and smog potential, emit less sooty particles and sulphur, and are characterized by a lower noise level of the engine and odorless exhaust gases.

Natural gas as affordable fuel
Natural gas as fuel is not only environmentally friendly, but also unbeatable in terms of price. It is cheaper than diesel, regular gas, or super. Thanks to the first step of ecological tax reform, natural gas drivers can depend on the price advantage of natural gas: the reduction in mineral oil tax on natural gas as fuel is locked in until the end of 2018. Thanks to the low operating costs, the investment costs amortize within a short period of time.
