FAQ – Answers to the most frequently asked questions

As a general rule for human consumption: it is better to let the water run until it becomes noticeably cooler. This ensures that it is fresh.

Our drinking water has a hardness rating of 1 – so it is very soft. The benefits: you need less washing-up liquid and cleaning products. This saves you money and also means the wastewater is much less polluted.

You can find information about the quality of our drinking water here.

There could be a variety of reasons for this.

In this case, please contact our faults helpline: 0631/8001-4444.

The term ‘water hardness’ describes the lime content, or more precisely, the concentration of dissolved calcium and magnesium compounds in the water.

If the water contains a lot of calcium and magnesium, it is referred to as hard water; if it contains little, it is soft water.
