Public Transport – Making the city accessible

Getting around means experiencing freedom. With more than 60 buses operating on 25 routes, we transport nearly 15 million passengers to their destinations in Kaiserslautern every year – from early in the morning until late in the evening, and late into the night with the Lautrer Nachtbus. With around 500 boarding and alighting points, there is almost always a stop near you.

Our comfortable buses are equipped with modern technology. Barrier-free boarding and alighting is possible almost everywhere. This means that people with reduced mobility can also use the buses independently.

Local public transport makes a crucial contribution to reducing harmful CO₂ emissions. We are actively driving this development forward by expanding our fleet of electric buses. Our diesel buses run on the environmentally friendly fuel HVO. Compared to conventional diesel, it reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 90 per cent.

We are playing a leading role in the transformation of transport in Kaiserslautern. Our responsibility towards the environment and the future is enshrined in our climate vision. We are ISO-certified for our environmental and energy management system.
