What is the difference?
Construction water is connected to an existing water pipe in the building, whilst standpipes are connected to hydrants.

Standpipes
Standpipes are connected to hydrants to draw water from the mains supply. It is essential that standpipes supplied by SWK Stadtwerke Versorgungs-AG are used
for this purpose. These can be hired by appointment during opening hours from the meter store at Brandenburger Str. 2 in Kaiserslautern, subject to availability.
Costs
The rent is 50 euros per month (billing period: 30 days from the start of the contract) per standpipe.
For every cubic metre of water consumed, the current fresh water rate per m³ is payable.
A fee will be charged for the replacement of a damaged or missing operating key.
If the standpipe is damaged, a flat-rate charge of up to €2,500 will be payable.
All prices are exclusive of VAT at the statutory rate.
