Energy Partner of the Palatinate

As the Palatinate’s energy partner, we will continue to develop our commitment to renewable energy in the region in a targeted manner. This includes wind energy, agri-photovoltaics and ground-mounted solar installations, as well as energy storage. We will do so responsibly, in a measured way and always in close dialogue with local authorities, the business community and the local population.

In this way, we are making our contribution to a climate-neutral future that remains a place worth living in and loving.

Solidarity-based land compensation

Fair and equitable sharing of profits with landowners directly affected by the planning – in harmony with agriculture and forestry.

Green Electricity Bonus

Discounted electricity for interested residents living near renewable energy plants (schemes tailored to individual projects, depending on the plant and partners).

Participation

Straightforward and fair public participation, e.g. through subordinated loans or via energy cooperatives.

Community participation

Financial participation by local authorities through a share of the revenue (Section 6 of the EEG) or through other appropriate instruments.

Wind energy

Invisible, yet highly effective. Wind turbines generate electricity not only efficiently but also in a way that minimises the land they occupy. They are already an integral part of renewable electricity generation.

Agricultural and ground-mounted PV

A ray of hope for a green future. Every day, the sun provides us with abundant energy. Rural areas, in particular, still hold great potential for harnessing solar energy to generate electricity.

Energy storage

As the share of renewable energy increases, the importance of storage capacity is also growing. The expansion of storage solutions is essential for a reliable energy supply.

Your trusted partner

A regional energy transition with local involvement? Look no further!

Business partners seal a successful deal with a handshake in a bright office – cooperation and trust at Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern.

SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern is a regional energy and water supply company operating primarily in the city of Kaiserslautern and 20 surrounding municipalities.

Our Renewable Energy team handles everything from site acquisition, planning, construction and financing right through to grid connection and operational management. A one-stop shop! Contracts relating to construction and operation (surveyors, engineers, grid connection, etc.) should, where possible, be awarded to regional contractors.

Local authorities benefit directly: in addition to solidarity-based land compensation for landowners, the local authorities concerned receive a financial share in the installations (Section 6 of the EEG). It is important to us that the value created remains within the region.

Hence our motto: From the region, for the region.
