SWK supports the Lautern primary schools’ town football championships

FIFTY-SEVEN matches brimming with passion, FOUR HUNDRED minutes of excitement. That ‘Westkurve’ atmosphere – that’s the best way to describe the indoor football tournament for primary schools in the city of Kaiserslautern. K-Town Arena GmbH made its four football pitches – all in excellent condition – at the SOC Sportpark Kaiserslautern available free of charge for this football festival for 6–11-year-old primary school players from the city.

Dr Arvid Blume is to become the new sole representative of SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern

The Supervisory Board of SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern has decided to grant Dr Arvid Blume sole authority to represent the company. Markus Vollmer and Rainer Nauerz will both be leaving the company in the coming months. Whilst Vollmer, a long-serving and distinguished member of the Executive Board, will retire on 30 June 2024 due to reaching retirement age, Nauerz will be leaving Stadtwerke on 30 April 2024 at his own request following a successful tenure.

The green light for zero-emission public transport in Kaiserslautern

SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern Verkehrs-AG receives a grant certificate for battery-electric buses. The long-awaited funding approval has arrived. The federal government is now also providing funding for electric buses for the municipal transport company in Kaiserslautern. This will enable the company to gradually introduce 16 electric buses into its city bus fleet by 2026. They will replace older diesel models and ensure more environmentally friendly public transport in Kaiserslautern in future.

13th Kaiserslautern Energy Forum: Focus on a community-led and regional energy transition

For the 13th time, SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern is hosting the Lautrer Energy Forum. On 12 March 2024, the doors will open at 5.00 pm in the Kasino at Kammgarn Kaiserslautern. “Power for the Palatinate – on the need for a community-led and regional energy transition” is the theme of the evening. The municipal utility is delighted to welcome Prof. Dr Volker Quaschning and Frank Farenski as keynote speakers. Both are recognised and award-winning experts in the field of the energy transition. Holger Wienpahl will once again be hosting the programme this year.
