SWK’s water traffic light provides early information on the status of the drinking water supply. It will be switched back to green on 8 July 2026! Water consumption, which had temporarily reached its annual peak at over 30,000 m³ per day, has now fallen back to around 25,000 m³ per day. The flow rate of the Lauterspring spring and the groundwater levels remain stable. The water treatment plant no longer needs to operate at full capacity around the clock. Despite the situation having eased, SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern continues to urge the public to use drinking water sparingly.

SWK’s water traffic light provides early warning of the status of the drinking water supply. It will switch to yellow on 26 June! The flow from the Lauterspring spring, the groundwater levels and the water treatment processes are not yet causing any problems. However, water consumption is currently at its annual peak of 30,000 m³ per day. The ongoing heatwave is expected to lead to further peaks in consumption, which is why SWK is asking people to use drinking water sparingly.

After the route had been impassable for SWK buses for many years, lines 105, 106, 107 and 115 are now once again running through the railway underpass at the power station following the completion of the northern section of Trippstadter Straße.
