Here you will find a detailed overview of your new instalments. The instalment amount can be adjusted at any time. To do so, please use our customer portal at https://www.meineswk.de or simply get in touch with us. We’ll be happy to advise you. Please note that you can only increase the amount via the customer portal. To reduce the amount, you’ll need to get in touch with us briefly. A member of staff will then take a closer look at your instalments. We want to avoid you having to make a large additional payment at the end of the year.
This represents the period during which instalments are due, starting from the first due date (not to be confused with the consumption period). If VAT is raised back to its original rate of 19 per cent on 1 April 2024, this will affect your instalment payments from 30 April onwards.
The German Government had reduced the tax rate on gas and heating supplies to 7 per cent for the period from 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2024. VAT was therefore due to be raised back to its original level of 19 per cent from 1 April 2024.
If there are any delays in the delivery of your annual accounts, we will grant you a reasonable payment term. As a result, there may be two due dates listed for February.
Here you will find details of the loyalty bonus package for electricity and gas.
Why is there a difference between the amounts charged for electricity and gas? The energy crisis of recent months was primarily a gas crisis. Of course, this also had an impact on electricity prices; however, not to the same extent.

Unlike electricity, natural gas is measured in cubic metres (m³). The measured volume is then converted into kilowatt-hours (kWh) so that it can be billed without being affected by pressure and temperature. To do this, in accordance with metrological regulations, the consumption in m³ is multiplied by the condition factor (z-factor) and the billing calorific value.

Private households and businesses that consume less than 1.5 million kilowatt-hours of gas per year, as well as voluntary organisations, will receive 80 per cent of their annual consumption forecast for September 2022 at a gross rate of 12 cents per kilowatt-hour, provided their tariff was not below the price cap.
Relief allowance = 80 per cent of your projected annual consumption for September 2022.
Monthly relief allowance = Maximum monthly consumption charged at the relief rate. Any excess consumption will be charged at the contract rate.
Relief allowance credited during the billing period = total of the monthly relief allowances granted.
Proportion of the total relief allowance = Periods during which your tariff was below the price cap are excluded from the relief allowance. Therefore, it may be the case that not the entire relief allowance has been applied.
Relief amount = the sum of all relief amounts for the periods during which the price cap was in effect.
The table shows only those periods during which the price cap actually resulted in a reduction in costs. During the periods not listed, your consumption price was below the reference price and therefore below the statutory price cap.

Depending on the products or services we supply to you, you will find a separate page for each sector containing all the information required for invoicing.
This number uniquely identifies your meter. If you see different meter numbers here, it means your meter has been replaced.
This is the mechanism for measuring consumption. Depending on the type of meter, each meter has one or two such mechanisms built in. HT = high-rate tariff; NT = low-rate tariff. Most electricity meters have only one counter (HT), which measures total consumption. In the case of heat pumps or night-storage heaters, a second counter is used to measure consumption from a certain time of day onwards.
To give you an overview, all the meter readings used to calculate your consumption are listed here. Under ‘Period’, you will find the date, and under ‘Meter reading’, you will find the corresponding meter reading that was recorded.
Here you will find the difference between the two meter readings.
This factor is not relevant for most domestic customers. For business customers with high consumption, metering equipment is used which must be multiplied by a factor. For standard domestic customers, the factor is therefore always 1.
Here you will find your actual energy consumption in kWh, which will be charged to you. The consumption is calculated as the difference between the meter readings and is multiplied by the factor. The consumption for the entire billing period is highlighted in blue.
Here you can compare your current consumption with your consumption from the previous year and with the average consumption in Germany. Please note that the comparison chart is for guidance only and is not universally applicable.
Your bill is calculated on the basis of the consumption determined above and the corresponding prices.
The consumption price is the price you pay for each kilowatt-hour (kWh) consumed. If a price adjustment takes place within a calendar year, this results in a further consumption period, during which consumption is billed at the adjusted price.
The standing charge includes cost components that are not linked to consumption. These include, for example, the costs of replacing and reading the meters. The standing charge is therefore billed on a daily basis rather than per kWh.
We have no control over the majority of the electricity price. Apart from the costs of procurement and distribution, the largest part consists of taxes, levies and network charges. This overview explains what is included in your bill and what is paid on your behalf.

These so-called ‘instalments’ are advance payments
that you make to us each month so that
you do not have to pay for your total
annual consumption in one go. The amount of your instalments is based on
your consumption patterns. If you have recently moved
in, the instalment will be based on our past experience.
You can find further information and details on how to
adjust your instalment on the
second page of your bill.

on your annual statement. For example, the loyalty bonus is shown here on the bill for the 2023
billing year. You can find further details
