From Monday, May 4, 2026, until approximately Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Fliegerstraße will be closed to traffic in the area of the junction with “Im Starennest.”

Bus line 102 will be diverted in both directions via Almenweg. A temporary stop will be set up near the junction of Gersweilerweg and Almenweg.

The Eugen-Hertel-Straße stop will be suspended in both directions.
 

On Sunday, 3 May 2026, a major timetable change will take place with the completion of the new city centre.
On almost all lines, the timetables will change, and in some cases also the routes.

In addition, the bus stops in the city centre will be relocated.

Starting Monday, April 27, 2026, the Benzinoring will be closed to traffic for about two months.

Line 104 services will be rerouted via Ludwigstraße in both directions.

The stops Benzinoring, Pfalzgalerie, Hackstraße, and Zeppelinplatz will not be served in both directions.
 

Due to construction work in Merkurstraße, the outbound TÜV stop will be suspended from Monday, April 27, to approximately Wednesday, May 13.
 

Due to repairs for a broken water pipe, Richard-Wagner-Straße will be closed until further notice.
Bus lines 102, 109, and 115 will be rerouted via Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße. The Parkstraße and Rosenstraße stops will be skipped in both directions.

Starting Wednesday, March 25, the final construction phase of the New Town Center will begin. At that time, the passage at the pedestrian crossing between Martinsplatz and Marktstraße will be closed to all traffic in both directions, including buses.

The closure affects bus lines 101 and 113. The stop at Schillerplatz will be moved about 50 meters back toward the junction with Schneiderstraße. Buses will then turn right into Schneiderstraße and continue via Karl-Marx-Straße back onto the east–west axis toward Messeplatz. In the opposite direction, buses will travel through the Old Town via Fischerstraße, Friedrichstraße, and Salzstraße to the city center.

In the city center, the buses will no longer stop in Maxstraße. Instead, they will stop together with line 114 at platform “Rathaus A” in Burgstraße. At the same time, line 113 will be relocated from Maxstraße to platform “Rathaus B.”

Starting in April, beginning with Easter Saturday, all SWK bus lines and all regional buses to and from Kaiserslautern can be used free of charge on the first Saturday of each month.

Note: Trips with the Lautrer Night Bus are excluded from this promotion and are not free of charge.
 

From Monday, April 13, 2026, until approximately Sunday, 26, 2026, Bergstraße in Otterberg will be closed.
The bus stops Pegulan, Bergstraße, and Stadtmitte will not be served during the closure.
Replacement stops have been set up.

Work to renew the Eselsbachtal bridge will begin next Wednesday, August 20. The Waschmühle road is then expected to be fully closed to traffic for nine months.

Bus route 109 will be diverted via Galappmühler Straße and Neue Straße for the duration of the service. The Morlautern Rathaus outbound stop and the Morlautern Rathaus and Kiefernberg inbound stops will be omitted.

Route 112 will alternate between Engelshof and Burggraben and Morlauterer Straße. There will be changes for all stops between the town center and Morlautern Kirche.

An alternative stop has been set up for the Waschmühle.
