Your guide to getting a property connection
We’ll guide you through the entire construction phase. It’s important that you apply for all connections in good time! The reason is that whilst obtaining a quote and placing an order can be done quickly, installation on site may be delayed due to seasonal peak periods or bad weather.
Via the service portal, you can also register generation facilities, consumption facilities subject to notification or authorisation, and facilities covered by Section 14a of the Energy Economy Act (EnWG). Please note that this is not done as part of the house connection application; such installations must be registered separately. Both applications – one for the house connection and one for generation and consumption installations – are required to ensure the house connection is correctly designed.

Once you have submitted your application, you can check the current status of your application on the portal at any time.
Documents for amendments or new applications for grid connections
Site plan, scale 1:500 or 1:1,000, showing:
- Parcel boundaries
- Building outlines (for blocks of flats and terraced houses, the boundary lines between individual buildings must be shown on the site plan)
- Service room or connection column (on the street side) or, in the case of medium-voltage connections, the desired location of the customer’s own transformer station
- House numbers
- Street names
- North arrow
- Location of any registered generation plant
- Location of charging points
If the property connection is located inside the building: floor plan of the ground floor and, if applicable, the basement, scale 1:100 or 1:50, showing:
- Parcel boundaries
- Building floor plan
- Service connection room (facing the street)
- House numbers (if there are several buildings)
- Street names
- North arrow
If available, sectional drawing, scale 1:100 or 1:50
If available, open space layout plan, scale max. 1:200
If you are not the landowner or the holder of a leasehold, a declaration from the landowner
Further documents required for changes to or new applications for grid connections, as well as generation and consumption facilities
If you are acting on behalf of another party, you will need a corresponding power of attorney
For low-voltage applications:
- where applicable, forms in accordance with DIN-VDE-AR-N 4100, Annex B
- Where applicable, Form F.4 in accordance with DIN-VDE-AR-N 4105
For medium-voltage registrations:
- Supply facility/grid connection
- E.1 and E.2
- Feed-in installation
- E.1 and E.8 (pages 1(5), 3(5), 4(5) and 5(5) for the signature line)
- Mixing plants and storage facilities
- E.1, E.2 and E.8 (pages 1(5), 3(5), 4(5) and 5(5) for the signature line)
- E.1, E.2 and E.8 (pages 1(5), 3(5), 4(5) and 5(5) for the signature line)
If you are unsure whether you require a medium-voltage connection or not, please complete the forms for medium-voltage registration for connected loads of 250 kW or more. This is the maximum value at which a medium-voltage connection is generally required at the latest. However, depending on the grid topology, a medium-voltage connection may also be required for lower connected loads. You will then receive further information on this once the grid connection assessment has been completed.
