As your meter operator, we take care of the installation, removal, replacement, operation and maintenance of meters.

In the water, district heating, gas and electricity sectors, we ensure that your consumption is reliably measured and passed on for billing purposes.

Under the Metering Point Operations Act, Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern, as your primary metering point operator, is also obliged to replace all conventional electricity meters with modern metering equipment and smart metering systems.

Access to metering points

The framework contract for metering point operators complies with the Federal Network Agency’s directive, which came into force on 23 August 2017, regarding the adaptation of standard contracts in the metering sector to the requirements of the Act on the Digitalisation of the Energy Transition (BK6-17-042 / BK7-17-026). Furthermore, our minimum requirements for metering equipment must be met.
