Annual basic charge for water supply
The annual basic charge per domestic meter, graded according to the size of the meter, is:

For larger meters, the water rates set out in the supplementary terms and conditions for water supply apply. The gross prices include 7% VAT. (As at 1 January 2023)

FAQ – Answers to the most frequently asked questions
As a general rule for human consumption: it is better to let the water run until it becomes noticeably cooler. This ensures that it is fresh.
Our drinking water has a hardness rating of 1 – so it is very soft. The benefits: you need less washing-up liquid and cleaning products. This is good for your wallet and the environment. What’s more, it puts much less strain on the sewage system.

The term ‘water hardness’ describes the lime content, or more precisely, the concentration of dissolved calcium and magnesium compounds in the water.
If the water contains a lot of calcium and magnesium, it is referred to as hard water; if it contains little, it is soft water.
