Dr Arvid Blume is to become the new sole representative of SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern

The Supervisory Board of SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern has decided to grant Dr Arvid Blume sole authority to represent the company. Markus Vollmer and Rainer Nauerz will both be leaving the company in the coming months. Whilst Vollmer, a long-serving and distinguished member of the Executive Board, will retire on 30 June 2024 due to reaching retirement age, Nauerz will be leaving Stadtwerke on 30 April 2024 at his own request following a successful tenure.

Rainer Nauerz, who, as Chief Technical Officer, is responsible for areas including human resources, bus transport, network infrastructure, the power station and renewable energies, and who, as one of two managing directors, heads the SWK Group, is stepping down from his current contract. He will continue his career in the energy sector elsewhere. The Supervisory Board respects this decision and will not stand in the way of this career move.

“SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern is a successful company with excellent prospects and is very well positioned both economically and strategically.
Our aim is to capitalise on the opportunities offered by having technical and commercial management under one roof. SWK has a competent team of staff. The Supervisory Board has therefore entrusted Dr Arvid Blume with sole representation of the company, explains Beate Kimmel, Lord Mayor of the City of Kaiserslautern and Chair of the Supervisory Board.

Dr Arvid Blume has already expressly stated his confidence in the team. Naturally, his two predecessors are available to provide him with thorough and comprehensive induction.

The Supervisory Board will monitor developments in close dialogue with the new Executive Board, for the benefit of the city, the region and its people.
