The programme at the Katzweiler Open-Air Theatre is varied. The picturesque natural stage is situated on the outskirts of Katzweiler in a small valley known as the Eselsdelle. The stage is beautifully nestled between two wooded slopes. It is one of the largest stages in the south-west and can look back with pride on a successful tradition, having been founded as far back as 1951.
In the 2026 season, the open-air theatre is offering two special SWKcard events:
Saturday, 30 May 2026 – Children’s play: ‘Die Schule der magischen Tiere’
(The School of Magical Animals) SWKcard special price: just €7 for all seats (instead of €14)
Saturday, 13 June 2026 – Adult show: “Rock of Ages”
SWKcard special price: just €12 for all seats (instead of €19)

How do I get the discount?
Simply select the SWKcard when booking your tickets and show your SWKcard or redeem your digital voucher when you visit the open-air theatre.
What do I need to bear in mind?
The SWKcard discount is valid only on the two dates mentioned above and for a maximum of 4 people per SWKcard.
Upon entry, you must present both your ticket and your 2026 SWKcard or the corresponding digital voucher. If these are not presented, the open-air theatre is entitled to charge the standard admission price.
