Karate, or rather karatedo, is an unarmed martial art and is taught as a form of self-defence, a competitive sport and a health-promoting activity. At the Budokan Karate Club, karatekas of all ages, from two to over sixty, train together.

How much of a discount will I get?
New members receive a 10 per cent discount on the monthly individual membership fee or
a 20 per cent discount on the monthly family membership fee for the first 12 months.
How do I get the discount?
Simply redeem the relevant coupon on your digital SWKcard or present a valid SWKcard (printed version).
Who leads the training sessions?
Marcus Gutzmer is a DOSB-certified coach, RKV regional coach, Club Manager A, and an A-level examiner in Shotokan and SOK. These qualifications ensure training of the highest standard.
Where can I sign up?
At the training venue, which is located at the Lina Pfaff Realschule (Augustastraße entrance) in Kaiserslautern.
You can join the beginners’ groups at any time and take part in a trial session with no obligation.
