Here you will find the period for which we are billing you for the energy costs listed.
This is the place where the energy is supplied and the service is provided.
Here you will find all the ways to get in touch with us.
Here, your payments are compared with your actual energy consumption.
In this example, the instalments have been sufficient to cover your consumption. You will therefore find your credit balance in this column, which we will refund to you. If you have paid too little, you will find the amount you need to pay here
These so-called ‘instalments’ are advance payments that you make to us each month so that you do not have to pay for your entire annual consumption in one go. The amount of your instalments is based on your consumption patterns. If you have recently moved in, the instalment will be based on our past experience. You can find further information and details on how to adjust your instalment on the second page of your bill.
Each customer is assigned a unique personal account number for each contract account. This account number must be quoted on every bank transfer. Standing orders must be amended accordingly. Customers who have several contract accounts are required in future to ensure that each contract account has its own account number.

This number uniquely identifies your meter.
You will only find this information on certain heating bills. It tells you the size of the meter.
To give you an overview, all the meter readings used to calculate your consumption are listed here. Under ‘Period’, you will find the date, and under ‘Meter reading’, you will find the corresponding meter reading that was recorded.
Here you will find your actual energy consumption, which will be charged to you. This consumption is calculated as the difference between the meter readings. The consumption for the entire billing period is highlighted in blue.
Your bill is calculated based on the consumption determined above and the price per unit.
The underlying total costs are derived from the individual items in the overview of total costs for the residential complex (page 5). Where applicable, both the total costs for hot water and heating are listed there
Here you can see the total units for the building. In this example, the building has a total usable floor area of 564.44 m² and 30.894 EH were used to provide heating for the entire property. These figures are important for calculating the price per unit.
To work out the price per unit, the total costs must be divided by the total number of units
Here you can see which charges you will be billed for. Whilst consumption charges are based on your actual consumption, basic charges are allocated according to your usable floor area/living space. The consumption charges are based on the actual consumption calculated above.
When allocating heating costs, a distinction is made between basic costs and consumption-based costs. The way in which the costs are allocated is set out in the Heating Costs Ordinance. Normally, 30 per cent of the total costs are allocated on the basis of usable floor area and the remaining 70 per cent on the basis of metered consumption.
The billing price includes price components that are independent of consumption. These include, for example, the costs of replacing and reading meters. For this reason, the billing price is calculated on a daily basis rather than per unit.
Private households and businesses that consume less than 1.5 million kilowatt-hours of heat per year, as well as associations, will receive 80 per cent of their annual consumption forecast for September 2022 at 9.5 cents per kilowatt-hour (including VAT), provided that their tariff was not below the price cap.
If you have any questions about your forecast annual consumption, please feel free to contact our customer service team at any time.

Since 2021, additional CO₂ charges have been levied on heating using fossil fuels. From 2023, a new law will regulate how these costs are allocated, depending on the building’s emissions

Please contact your landlord with this information.
